Old altcoins with real uses are stealing the spotlight again. XRP, Binance Coin (BNB) and Tron (TRX) have recently shown phenomenal performance.
However, Altcoin Buzz through a video on its YouTube channel revealed three other old altcoins that are considered to have great potential for 2025, namely Avalanche (AVAX), Stacks (STX) and Quant (QNT).
1.Avalanche (AVAX): Bringing Innovation Through Subnets
Avalanche continues to show significant improvement. According to Altcoin Buzz, the price of AVAX has increased by 100 percent in the last month.
One of the main reasons is the Avalanche 9000 update, which allows developers to build their own layer-1 blockchains with automatic integration to the Avalanche C-Chain.
“This update provides incredible flexibility for developers to build the projects they want,” said Maddie of Altcoin Buzz.
Additionally, Avalanche is offering US$40 million in grant funding to support development on its platform. With the support of a growing ecosystem, AVAX shows the potential to continue to lead as one of the best Layer-1.

2.Stacks (STX): Leading Bitcoin Layer-2 Innovation
Stacks has been a major player in the development of Bitcoin’s layer-2 ecosystem. In the last 12 months, the value of the STX token increased by 180 percent. Two main features are the reason for this increase, namely SBTC, the safest wrapped version of Bitcoin, and the opportunity for high returns in its ecosystem.
“SBTC is a wrapped Bitcoin solution whose transactions are immediately settled on the Bitcoin blockchain, making it unique and safe,” added Maddie.
Platforms such as Alex De and Stacks Bridge Tether (SUSDT) also enrich the ecosystem by offering yields of up to 10.8 percent for token holders. With so many interested developers, the Stacks ecosystem continues to grow rapidly.
3.Quant (QNT): The Bridge Between Blockchain and Traditional Business
Quant is becoming a flagship when it comes to interoperability, enabling traditional businesses to create blockchains through the Overledger platform. In the last month, QNT prices have jumped 160 percent.
“Quant has partnered with major world banks, including the Bank of England and BIS, to support CBDC development,” said Maddie.
Quant’s ability to work with CBDCs and connect traditional blockchain systems with modern technology makes it one of the altcoins with long-term growth potential.
Avalanche, Stacks and Quant offer a combination of technological innovation, growing ecosystems and strategic partnerships. These three altcoins have not only survived various market cycles but also demonstrated that they are still relevant options amidst the competitive crypto market.
